You are invited to join us for Cupcakes & Cocktails, our second annual fundraiser for Blue Sky's job training program for homeless and formerly incarcerated youth. The event takes place on Thursday, November 10 from 6-9 pm at the Intuit Gallery, 756 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

The evening will feature sweet and savory cupcakes prepared by our staff, paired with custom cocktails created and poured by expert mixologists from the U.S. Bartenders Guild. Guests can also enjoy beer, wine and appetizers.

We'll also be hosting a cupcake contest: we'll supply the cake, icings, fillings, and toppings, and you can assemble it to eat or enter into a contest we'll be holding that night. The contest will be judged by Amanda Rockman, pastry chef at The Bristol and contestant on Top Chef: Just Desserts.

Our amazing silent auction includes items from Avec, Paris Club, Lush Wine & Spirits, Hearty, Purple Pig, and tickets from the Bears, Bulls, White Sox and Blackhawks. You won't want to miss this opportunity to enjoy delicious food and cocktails and support our job training program.

By popular demand and a general moral obligation, Saturday morning doughnuts are back! These hot gems are cooked to order, only $.75 each, and will feature a rotating selection of fillings and glazes.

What is S.B.P.? It is, we believe, the perfect combination of comfort foods for the upcoming winterpocalypse we've been promised: soup, bread and pie. Each Wednesday starting November 9th, we'll be open until 8 pm and serving a bowl of soup, freshly-baked bread, and a slice of pie for only $9. Dinner will be BYOB.
